Frequently Asked Questions

Q. When is the right time to move to Pleasant View Retirement?

A. The time to move is while you are still active and independent.

Many seniors struggle with knowing exactly when the time is right to move from their home. Often times the answer given is “I’m not ready yet,” while others say “When I am unable to maintain or get around my house, then I will move.” At Pleasant View Retirement, we understand the thought process behind moving from your home into another setting; be it for more security, less home maintenance, or the opportunity for increased socialization. We appreciate the significance of this decision, and your feeling of “not being ready just yet.”

Q. Is there an entrance fee?

A. No. Pleasant View Retirement is a rental retirement community and does not require an entrance fee. Residents are granted priority access to our continuum of care, allowing them to pay for care as they need it.

Q. What happens when you can no longer live independently?

A. Pleasant View Retirement supports a philosophy of “aging in place” and collaborates with Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association to assure residents are safely maintaining their independence. Residents are given priority access to our assisted living, skilled and intermediate care facilities should the need arise.

Q. Are pets allowed?

A. Pleasant View Retirement recognizes the value of the loyalty and companionship that having a pet provides. Residents must be able to care for his/her pet independently. Pets must be on a leash when outside the apartment. A pet security deposit is not required.

Q. What is included in the monthly fee?

A. The monthly fee includes weekly housekeeping, flat linen/towel service, 24-hour security, transportation, recreation, and one meal per day. Additional meal packages are available for an additional but nominal fee. For couples, there is a second person fee of $560 per month. Cable and telephone are the responsibility of the resident.
